Patients on regular medication do not always need to see the GP for a repeat of medicines. You will be issued with a computer slip attached to your prescriptions. This should be returned to the surgery two or three days before you need further medication, after ticking all the items you require.
You can also order your prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration prior to using the system.
Requests can be taken over the telephone, at the practice or using the NHS app.
Please note that you will need to clearly specify if you wish to have your prescription sent to a local pharmacy, otherwise the prescription will be kept at the surgery for collection.
Requests for non-repeat medication or “one off” prescriptions have to be authorised by the GP and may take longer to process, however, we will ensure that these requests are dealt with within a 48 hour period.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least 6 - 12 months to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
